Deaf actress, writer, and performer Michelle Banks brings her one- woman show to DVD for all audiences to enjoy.  REFLECTIONS OF A BLACK DEAF WOMAN, written by and starring Michelle Banks, was performed at the award-winning Victory Theatre Center in January 2006.  This insightful work reveals the hardships and triumphs of two strong African-American women that speak to the human condition and the search for love and understanding.

In REFLECTIONS OF A BLACK DEAF WOMAN, Michelle reveals her extraordinary talent of storytelling in American Sign Language (ASL) along with live music and voice interpretation.  A clever dance of drama and humor, this play beautifully illustrates the two characters’ life experiences from the perspective of Black Deaf culture.
